The Air Jordan 9 PS “University Gold” is the preschool sizing of Michael Jordan’s ninth signature shoe that was released in January 2021. The “University Gold” compares favorably to the “Citrus,” a July 2010 colorway that also made use of a predominantly neutral design with subtle orange accenting. In this case, the “University Gold” displays yellow detailing, instead. A black synthetic nubuck upper construction with a “diamond” perforation motif appears along the medial and lateral sides of the shoe. A grey synthetic nubuck mudguard above the black midsole breaks up the look. Elsewhere, contrasting University Gold accents can be found on the liner, pull, and “Air Jordan” insignia on the tongue. The same shade of yellow is also located on the embroidered “23” detailing on the heel and Jumpman logo on the sole. A small “globe” motif dots the back of the shoe. Release date: January 30, 2021.
