The Jordan 9 Retro TD “University Blue” is the toddler version of the clean, “UNC” inspired look for Michael Jordan’s ninth signature shoe that was released in December 2020. The “University Blue” draws comparisons to the original “UNC” or “Powder Blue” colorway of the Air Jordan 9 from 1994. The upper displays a white leather construction with a perforated “diamond” motif appearing along the medial and lateral sides of the shoe. A speckled black synthetic nubuck mudguard above the black painted midsole breaks up the look. Black rope laces are layered over the white mesh tongue. University Blue “Jordan” branding appears on the black nylon panel on the top of the tongue. Additional “UNC” inspired accenting can be found on the “globe” insignia above the blue “23” embroidery on the heel. A black nylon pull tab on the heel and inner bootie lining complete the look.
